About Me

My name is Ashli Cook and I'm from Austin, TX and still reside there. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts for Studio Art '10 and a Master's in Advertising in the Texas Creative sequence '12 for art direction.

I love to design things and make compelling work. I'm inspired by many things: art, vintage, music, great copy, interior design, DIY design, bold colors, HATCH show print, and modern design. I'm obsessed with typography, perfect leading and kerning, and great compositions. Most importantly, I love great branding and design.

From an early age of 5, it was clear I was destined to be an artist. I won many art awards growing up and started art lessons at the age of 10. My private studio teacher for 8 years, Joe, taught me how to explore art, color theory, and the world around me and never once hindered my creativity or my sense of the big picture. In college I was fascinated by typography and graphic design. I’m self taught with every computer program including Adobe Creative Suite. My love for color palettes, type, and art expanded into branding and graphic design.

I worked in the Advertising industry as an art director and senior art director for a few years before starting my own business. I founded Ashli Design Studio in 2015. We are a branding and design studio. Our goal is to give brands personality and make them memorable.
